our commitment to you

Natural & Delicious

Winemaking is a noble art that demands the utmost care, attention and reverence. Our vines are nurtured year-round to produce the ripest, most flavorful fruit. What goes in each bottle is the result a harmonious dance between nature and the skilled hands of our winemaker.

We can’t wait to share these amazing wines with you.

Vines of Distinction

Homefire Vineyard – We are showing that wines are better if they’re made from vineyards that use organic-style farming methods. Our initial collection of Zinfandel vines are from a St Peter’s Church clone originally grown outside a Cloverdale church in the early 1900s. Our soil is balanced using natural components including more than 12-tons of compost per acre to date.

Hales Vineyard – The old vines were planted in 1952. Half the vineyard is trellised, the other half, head pruned. Wilfred Wong calls the wine produced from these vines “classic Dry Creek Zin.”

Mia’s Secret – This vineyard lies on a slope 1,200 feet above the valley. You’ll cross a couple streams and a washed out road to get there. But Zinfandel grown there is unlike any we’ve tasted; rich, mountain fruit, dark berry flavors and an exotic essence unique to the site.

Winemaker/Viticulturist

“Homefire has been an independent artisan wine maker for 20-years. The flavors, aromas and mouthfeel are the result of long hours of work in the vineyard and the cellar. Our goal is to make authentic food-friendly wines.” - Michael Sterling, Winemaker
